* In case that hardener PTG 8 is used instead of PTG 1 (quantity x of PTG 1 = 1.2 times the quantity of PTG 8), one will obtain cured materials with considerably improved properties in tensile strength, whilst the higher viscosity of the  PTG 8 will deteriorate the flowability slightly as a result of which the curing will be delayed considerably. For ProtoFlex types with a pot life of 25 minutes, we therefore generally advise our customers against working with PTG 8.

ProtoFlex types with a pot life of 5 minutes, e. g. ProtoFlex 190-05, can be mixed with each other to obtain an individual linear adjustment of the hardness between Shore A 10 and Shore A 90. ProtoFlex types can also be combined with ProtoCast or MultiCast types (e. g. for the flexibilization of ProtoCast/MultiCast and/or a harder adjustment of ProtoFlex). Here however, it is particularly important to consider the mixing ratios with for example PTG 1. ProtoFlex types with longer pot lives, e. g. 190-15 and 190-25, cannot be combined with each other for the adjustment of individual Shore hardnesses as this would lead to severe pot life shortenings and curing problems.

The lower the adjustment of the Shore hardness, that means the more the proportion of ProtoFlex 110-05 increases in the mixture with ProtoFlex 190-05, the shorte becomes the pot life, e.g a 1 : 1 mixture of ProtoFlex 110-05 and ProtFlex 190-05 has now a pot life of 2 to 3 minutes only. In ths case, however, the curing time, too, shortens significantly.
